海词 - 在线辞典
记得在这篇文章里面提过 Dict.cn 这个网站。今天收到 Feedsky 的广告邀请，碰巧也是这个中文名为“海词”的在线辞典。对于我喜欢的东西，就算不是付费也会说一说，更何况是付费广告。所以这里先声明一下，这篇文章是付费广告，但是广告的是我用过的，而且我值得在这里跟朋友们分享一下的东西。
我喜欢海词就下面几点：
- 域名容易记住 - Dict.cn
- 登录速度快，界面简洁，没有太多多余的广告
- 有相关词语推荐，并附上足够的例子帮助说明
- 在线发音
- 可以储存自己的生词本，方便以后复习
以上是我使用了这个网站半年多以来所感觉到的优点。当然，还有海词还有很多功能，比如交流学习经验的辞典论坛，在线背单词，在线拼音输入（这个对我来说挺方便，特别是在大学里面没有中文输入法的电脑上），你还可以在你的 blog 上加上背单词的功能。虽然这些我都没有全部用到，不过相信对有些朋友还是会有很大的帮助的。
这里给海词提三点建议：
1、 不要再加上广告或是对于翻译没有太多帮助的东西，因为一般用户想要的只是翻译功能。Less is more！
2、 可是试着多开发一些 FireFox 插件，让翻译更方便。
3、 在解释词的方面上加多一点功夫，但是也要在简洁的基础上，不要让人看得太过繁杂了。

咦，feedsky 的广告什么要求都没有吗？不用加链接图片，还有声明广告之类的东西？

没有仔细看，怪不得提交不上去。我以为链接图片是网站的logo，广告声明是自己写上去。看了你的之后才发现原来是得这样子，呵呵～

This website is not worth going to, for the following 2 major reasons:
1. for those people in the UK and prefer the British accent, the bloody sound thing is in the stupid American accent. Which sounds rather rough and rude. Quite insulting!
2. lots of mistakes on the translation bit

I agree with the first point but didn’t really explore into the second one. Normally I just scan the first line of the meaning and rarely looked into the sentence examples.
About the first point, we have to admit that English eduction in China is a mixture of both British and American English, and American English seems more popular for some reasons. Most English learning products I got when I was in China were mainly American. But for English learners, first important thing is to learn them first before distinguishing the difference of British or American English.
After all, there are very few online translation websites like this one so far as I know. For what it has now, it’s quite good. But of course, a online dictionary with British accent pronunciation and less mistake on translation would be ideal.
